Shirantha Fernando is a seasoned banking and finance professional with over 20 years of experience across Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and New Zealand. He has held senior leadership roles in the banking sector with extensive expertise in corporate banking, credit risk management, lending, portfolio management, business development, credit governance, and banking operations.

Shirantha has extensive experience in structuring corporate and project finance facilities, syndicated lending, credit underwriting, portfolio management, credit policy development, and risk management. He has also led lending product development, credit process reengineering, and lending system implementation projects, contributing to the establishment of strong credit governance and sustainable business growth.

He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Cardiff Metropolitan University, United Kingdom. He is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA Australia), an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA, CGMA), United Kingdom, and holds a Diploma in Banking & Finance and a Diploma in Credit Management from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka.
